2011 has arrived and already the assembly lines are working on full-time bringing us bigger, better, faster, stronger cars than ever before. I had been carrying out a little "window shopping" for a SUV and came across some interesting models, new releases and captivating offers. Let’s have a look through five from the first releases this year.

GMC Acadia Denali

Our first candidate is the GMC Acadia Denali also it deserves its title as "The High Ones" that is what Denali means in Eskimo. We’re looking at a reliable safe and sturdy car with a unibody construction that enables less gravity center making it very stable, designed with a GM’s High Feature LY7 V66 , 288 hp and also to 270 lb-ft torque, is more than capable of climbing even the steepest of roads. A lavish design with a unique front fascia is determined to steal the eyes associated with a passer-by, along with the chromed 22 inch wheels six spokes stile. But all of the class and the safety comes in a high cost, a dicey $43,995.

Next in line, the Subaru Forrester 2.0X newly introduced in Europe. The first thing that one thinks of when it found this release was fuel efficiency, that’s why the engine design continues to be switched from "EJ" to "FB". Now running with a FB25 2.0 liter engine which is both powerful and fuel efficient, Subaru Forrester became an immediate hit in Hungary. This car, like its predecessors will surely show up on every difficult road which is the trademark of all Subaru cars endurance. This is an absolute hit during this year especially that the entire package comes at 30.988 €.

That one is really a "classic" although everything about this is modern, the brand new and improved Cadillac Escalade, the Infinity QX56 4WD. This can be a car with impact, a 3 lot of engineering able to incredibly responsive steering for such weight and size with an astounding acceleration of 60 mph in 6.1 seconds. The credit goes to the huge 5.6 liter 400 hp V8 engine with an automatic 7 speed transmission and a whole lot of equipment: EBD, VDC, TCS, TPMS, VSS, HID, DSW, LDW, LDP, DCA, IBA, FCW, AAFS, and there are more baked into that processor. It’s a large car so it needs a big "brain" to handle all that power and balance. This car clearly deserves its place as the third of top 5.

GMC Envoy SLE

GMC Envoy SLE this the first is a truck a lot more than an SUV. Using truck based underpinnings this car is more equipped for off road duty, heavy transport and big workloads. Not as efficient as other SUV’s in urban environment because of its size and noise volume, it compensates by having excellent crash tests and raw power on any kind of difficult terrain. The 291HP, 4.2L engine is capable of towing its own weight up the mountain. If that’s where you’re pleasure or work lies, this is the only car that will take you there time and time again.

And finally the largest, meanest of these all, the Cadillac Escalade 2WD is BIG, there is no way around it. Big power, huge comfort, tank engine is exactly what this car is about. A more than 400 hp beast resides within the 6.2 liter V8 cylinders that is literally screaming "Out of my way!". The inside is as big on equipment as the outside, beginning from satellite navigation and multimedia and ending with an aboard camera for the rear view. There’s anything to add, if you feel big think Escalante and we do hope you have big pockets.
